Taxi & Transit Passes

The Transportation Program is designed to provide elderly, disabled, and low-to-moderate income residents of Fayetteville with supplemental transportation assistance. The program is comprised of two main programs, in the hopes of providing a greater service to the community.

(PLEASE NOTE - applicants & participants are only limited to one of the following programs at a time)


Transit Program

The Transit Program provides either a monthly fixed-route bus pass or three (3) 10-ride Paratransit passes every month to each qualifying applicant; provided by Ozark Regional Transit (ORT).

Qualification Process
To qualify for the Transit Program, applicants must:

  • Complete the Transit Program application, available by calling our office at (479) 575-8260
  • Live within the Fayetteville City limits
  • Household must fall within the low-to-moderate income guidelines (PDF) provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
  • Paratransit qualification requires additional information; please call our office at (479) 575-8260 to learn more
Receiving Passes
Monthly transit passes are mailed directly to participants each month. Fixed Route passes are only valid for the month they are punched and may be discarded when the next month's pass is received.

Taxi Program


Taxi Program provides supplemental taxi vouchers to elderly and/or disabled residents of Fayetteville.

Qualification Process
To qualify for the Taxi Program, prospective participants must:

  • Must be 62 years of age or older and/or disabled
  • Complete the Taxi Program Application, available by calling our office at (479) 575-8260
  • Live within the Fayetteville City limits
  • Household must fall within the low-to-moderate income guidelines (PDF) provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Receiving Tickets
Tickets are printed and mailed to each participant by the first of the upcoming month. Taxi tickets may be used with Dynasty Taxi and transport through the Fayetteville Senior Activity & Wellness Center (NWA Area Agency on Aging.)

All taxi tickets expire December 31st of the year in which they were issued. Coupons may be combined with cash, if necessary. Please note that coupons have no cash value, and riders will receive no change if coupons used exceed the cost of the fare.
